The Art of James Vance

September 16, 2009

Perhaps old news to people who may have seen the artful displays of James Vance for Bergdorf Goodman, but I saw Mr. Vance’s 3-D foam core and glue sculptures on the Rochambeau blog and fell in love!  I am sharing these simply stunning masterpieces with you in lieu of preview photos for Fruits of the Bloom since the weather didn’t cooperate with our photo session today.  ;o)  Please click on the highlighted link to Rochambeau and see all the sculptures plus an interview with the artist himself, James Vance.  The picture below is a teaser courtesy of Rochambeau.

His stuff rocks! As much foam core work this guy does its a wonder he still has fingers. It was always fun with foam core in art school till you lost one. 😉

I’m sorry to hear about that Nub, I mean Kronk. Yes, he’s brilliant with the foamcore and glue, be sure to post us some of your pre-bloodied foamcore art! We’d love to see what you’ve got to show for those lost digits. ;o)
